Our cart was produced in collaboration with Ryan Donovan and Carl Heinrich (pictured above) of Richmond Station. We used many of our off-cuts from local and reclaimed wood to create a modular cart system made out of 4 storage boxes with chalkboard tops, 8 sticks and a top that break down to fit inside a mid-size hatchback and convert into a 2-wheel dolly to get the equipment to its location. All of which is easily reassembled into a serving cart with room for kitchen trays and other storage.
Thanks to the RCYC and Splendido for keeping the food flowing from our cart the first night. We enjoyed the amazing sausages that Richmond Station served on night two, along with all the other delectable highlights. Great work to all at The Stop and all the volunteers who helped make the event a success. We look forward to next year, in the meantime please take a look at what The Stop is doing for communities in Toronto.
