Since the beginning, long before current trends, Brothers Dressler has been working with local, reclaimed, found, ecologically friendly and responsibly harvested materials, promoting a return to local manufacturing and materials.

Working with a ‘cradle to cradle’ philosophy, we design pieces in which as much of the material is used as possible, giving cut-offs and waste streams new life as innovative new products. We have been acknowledged by many as being innovators in the current trends of upcycling, reclamation and reuse, as well as the movement toward local craft and the production of modern-heirloom furniture.

Commonly used materials include:

• reclaimed white oak

• solid walnut

• birch plywood

• osage orange

• reclaimed elm

• birch

• maple

• fir

• cherry

• hemlock
