Flexible and strong, ash can be bent into sculptural forms; it is both lightweight and durable, and its light-hued smooth grain give it a clean aesthetic. Since 2013 we have been promoting the use of ash wood with our Ash Out Of Quarantine project. We’ve focused on bringing to light the useful properties of trees potentially lost to the emerald ash borer infestation brought to North America with globalization and climate change.
