ROOT TABLE
We use river-swept roots to make one-of-a-kind bases for custom dining tables. Salvaging washed-out roots from rivers in Southern Ontario, we use the unique colours and shapes of these masses strapped together with finished wood, to create the base for solid wood tops. A massive river-swept sycamore root forms the main supporting pedestal for a cantilevered top created from old growth white oak which has been laying on the bottom of Georgian Bay for the last 150 years. These one-of-a-kind pieces are subject to the limited availability of its salvaged components.
